Jupiter enters Cancer
Mercury square Saturn
Venus square Pluto
Loads of astrological modulations underway right now. Today is rather special.
01.04 The slow and heavily waxing gibbous Moon now accelerating at 23 Scorpio trines her node at 23 Pisces
02.47 The Sun at 19 Gemini waxing sesuiquadrate Pluto at 4 Aquarius
05.58 The Moon at 26 Scorpio waxing square Mars at 26 Leo
10.49 Mercury at 1 Cancer waxing square Saturn at 1 Aries Stops us in our tracks.
12.07 The Moon at 29 Scorpio opposition Uranus at 29 Taurus.
The Moon is void of course for 2.9 hours
14.49 The Moon at 30 Scorpio waxing quincunx Jupiter at 30 Gemini
14.57 The Moon enters Sagittarius. The day turns somewhat 'racey'
16.57 The Moon at 1 Sagittarius waning trine Saturn at 1 Aries
17.21 Venus at 4 Taurus waxing square Pluto at 4 Aquarius Ripples of temptation.
18.09 The Moon at 2 Sagittarius waxing quincunx Mercury at 2 Cancer
18.56 The Moon at 2 Sagittarius waning trine Neptune at 2 Aries
21.03 Jupiter enters Cancer. Jupiter will be in Cancer from today June 9th 2025 to June 30th 2026. Jupiter squares Saturn on June 15th and then squares Neptune on June 19th. He is retrograde from Nov 11th 2025 to March 11th 2026. Jupiter is exalted in Cancer. His energy is focused on 'the home' and the people, places, and memories that make us feel safe and secure. This one is 'the family way'. Jupiter in Cancer cares. Jupiter in Cancer 'expands home', it centres us on 'selfhood', our place, our world domain. It 'holds together' after the energetic flurry of Jupiter in Gemini. Jupiter in Cancer spreads peace. Not a bad thought in such a chaotic world right now.
ALL TIMES ON THIS SITE ARE GMT.
The Sun today is at 19 degrees Gemini. We are in the midway period between eclipse seasons. Saturn and Neptune apply in a 'test of faith' conjunction, dominating most of 2025 and are exactly conjunct in Feb. 2026. So far it seems that Neptune in Aries is inducing a new strain of glam terrorism and social upheaval and Saturn in Aries is all about 'battle readiness'. June starts with the continuation of a preponderance of planets in Fire and Air signs and the associated inflammable astrological atmosphere. As the month progresses we will experience a mellower atmosphere ensuing, with Venus now in Taurus, Mars entering Virgo, and the Sun, Mercury and Jupiter moving into Cancer.
Jupiter enters Cancer today, immediately applying square to Saturn (world political events possible, progress and expansion crystallised, exact June 15th), and to Neptune (both clarity of vision and deep confusion, exact June 20th).
The mid month period may well witness 'a new reality' of some description manifesting onto the geopolitical world stage. The Full Moon in Sagittarius early Wednesday 11th June is a 'wayward trail blazer' of a lunation, trine Mars in Leo, opposite Jupiter and quincunx Uranus. More circumspect influences then follow. All the planets are currently direct in motion except for Pluto. Jupiter's Cancer ingress today hopefully injects a degree of human compassion into proceedings. Significant changes are underway. There are 11 days to the Northern Hemisphere Summer Solstice.
MERCURY
Mercury was at Superior Conjunction with the Sun on May 30th at 9 degrees Gemini. Now as an evening star Mercury is in Cancer.
Mercury retrograde periods ahead.
July 18 to Aug 11, 2025
Nov 9 to Nov 29, 2025
Feb. 25 to Mar 20, 2026
Jun 29 to Jul 23, 2026
Oct 24 to Nov 13 2026
VENUS
Venus entered Taurus as a morning star on June 6th, joining Uranus in this sign, initiating a general trend this month of a modulation to a more mellow atmosphere after recent astrological high jinx (a predominance of planets in Fire and Air signs). Venus resides in Taurus for 28 days. Her residence here is largely favourable except at the start. Venus is square Pluto today June 9th-powerful relationship dynamics. Venus is sextile Mercury on June 11th-sharing caring. Venus is conjunct Uranus at the very end of Taurus on July 4th, the highlight of the residence-earthy stimulation. She enters Gemini 4 hours later on that day.
Venus' next retrograde period is the 41 day period from Oct 3rd to Nov 14th 2026 in Scorpio and Libra. Venus' next retrograde period is the 41 day period from Oct 3rd to Nov 14th 2026 in Scorpio and Libra.
MARS
Mars re-entered Leo on April 18th 2025, residing here for a an uncompromising 59 days. Mars squares Uranus on June 15th, shatteringly destructive at worst. Mars leaves Leo for Virgo on June 17th. During the the Mars in Leo period, Mars will bring a focus on uncompromising energy, drive, courage and recreation.
Mars is next retrograde from Jan 10th 2027 to April 1st 2027 in Leo/Virgo.
JUPITER
Jupiter leaves Gemini for Cancer today June 9th 2025. He makes his final square to Saturn from Cancer on June 15th. See above.
SATURN
Saturn is direct in Aries. Saturn's first foray into Aries lasts from 25/5/25 to 1/9/25. After returning to Pisces for 5 months he finally settles in Aries on February 14, 2026. Saturn stations in Aries on July 13th 2025 at 2 degrees Aries. We are in for a three month 'taster' trip. New lessons on cutting out the nonsense, getting a grip on future plans, less drift, less emotion. Lean, mean and keen.
URANUS
Uranus first buzzes into Gemini on 7th July 2025. Uranus in Gemini will air trine Pluto from 2026 to 2028.
NEPTUNE
Neptune first entered Aries on March 30th 2025. Already we have tastes of a new glam terrorism abroad.
PLUTO
Pluto re-entered Aquarius on Nov 19th 2024 and will remain there till the year 2043. There will be gigantic changes brought about by this 20 year residence. The life we have known will be transformed. There will be a manifestation of the full potential of technology, a new revolution is ahead of us. We had a taste of this future (note all the fuss about AI earlier in 2023).
Pluto was last in Aquarius from 1777 to 1798.
Uranus in Gemini will air trine Pluto from 2026 to 2028. This is the most exciting time ahead, astrologically speaking.
Saturn in Aries will sextile Pluto in 2026 and square Pluto 3 times during 2028-2029.

THE LUNAR STANDSTILL.
The Mean Lunar Node is now in Pisces. We are (june 2025) past the climax of a Major Lunar Standstill. This is a period lasting for three years within the 18.6 year lunar nodal cycle. The last major lunar standstill centred on June 2006, and this new one centred in January 2025. During these years we are observing extreme northerly and southerly lunar rising and setting points on the local horizon when the Moon is in tropical Gemini/Cancer or Sagittarius/Capricorn.
